Hi, all. Today was my last day at Forbes. While I figure out my next moves, I’ll be writing here and, yes, redesigning this blog. I hope you’ll join me.

Hi, all. Today was my last day at Forbes. While I figure out my next moves, I’ll be writing here and, yes, redesigning this blog. I hope you’ll join me.
Good luck Elizabeth! I’ll be watching and thanks for the good work at Forbes!
Thanks Joe! It would be nice if we could continue to work together. We’ll see…
Wow. End of an era.
Looking forward to keeping up with the blog and your future endeavors. Let me know if you need WordPress wizards to help you set up the blog just the way you want it! Happy to recommend a few.
Thanks Andi. I really do need help with the appearance of this blog but am going to try my hand at it myself, at least at first!
As an avid follower of your Forbes posts, I can tell you that you are one of the best writiers I have seen in the technology space. If I can help you, let me know. If not – please let me know where you end up; I am sure you will find a new position soon; your portfolio speaks for itself.

Thank you, David, for these very kind words. I hope to keep writing for readers like yourself.
I just saw the news! I have truly enjoyed working with you at Forbes and will miss our day to day interactions but look forward to keeping in touch during this next adventure. I will be reading your personal blog now and hope we have the opportunity to work together again soon! Cheers and best wishes!
Thanks Kellan! I really enjoyed working with you, too. Let’s definitely keep in touch.
Elizabeth,
I only recently began working with you in the last year, but it has really been a pleasure and though sad to hear you’re leaving Forbes, I look forward to seeing where the next adventure brings you. I’ll be keeping an eye on this blog and always here as a resource, should you need one.
Thank you, that’s very nice.
Just caught the news – very surprised and saddened to hear. You’ve always been a pleasure to work with, and I’m hoping that we’ll be able to continue working together wherever you find yourself next. I’ll be sure to keep my eyes fixed here to find out where you land next, but please don’t be a stranger in the interim.
Thanks George! I hope to keep tracking the white spaces issue — eager to see what happens there.
Good luck on your next move! I will bookmark this blog and I hope that you will continue tweeting.
Thanks Vu! I will be here and am keeping the same Twitter account.
Today I unsubscribed “Mobilized” from my Google Reader subscription feed… and added your WP blog here in its place. Looking forward to seeing what you do next.
In with the new, I guess. Thanks for following me here.
Hi, Elizabeth. I enjoyed working with you, and will be following you here, as well. Good luck!
Thank you, Barbara!
When I think about Forbes, I always think “Elizabeth Woyke” – I guess it’s time to reindex my thought process a bit! Forbes definitely won’t be the same without you – and I can’t wait to see what adventures await you around the next corner!
Thank you, Keith! After years of working together, I hope we can continue to do so in the future.
As I wrote at the Forbes site, I was surprised and a bit sorry to hear that you’re leaving Forbes. I have enjoyed your interesting and informative posts, and I hope that on your personal blog, in a different journalistic venue, or somewhere else you will continue to post tech articles. I’m not a tech person (my brain is focused on Public Health and Korean Studies) but I certainly use a lot of tech, which is why I appreciate accessible writing such as yours that are facts-oriented and no-nonsense.
But of course, a personal blog does not always contain work product. My own blog, though heavily Korean issues by design, contains more than a few glimpses of personal life in Korea and in Hawaii.
Until you move on to the next great thing (and even after that), if you are interested in writing posts about Korea-related companies and technology, might I suggest being a guest blogger at The Marmot’s Hole. The owner is always looking for fresh and informative perspectives, and Samsung, LG, and even Apple and Google (as the latter relate to Korea and East Asia, at least) are familiar topics for you.
The Marmot’s Hole gets five thousand hits a day, which is no Forbes, but it’s nothing to sneeze at (just ignore the commentariat). If you’ve been to the Seoul Foreign Press Club, you may have met him even, but I can hook you up.^^ Barring that, you can always guest post at Monster Island (actually a peninsula), though the numbers there are a mere 500 hits per day. A boutique blog, if you will.
Anyway, 행운을 빕니다! 잘 하시고 힘 내세요!
고맙습니다! I have enjoyed your thoughtful comments on my Forbes blog. Thanks for finding me here and for the recommendations. I am going to take some time to think but may very well be in touch.
shocked to read this, elizabeth. Please keep in touch.
Thank you, Hector. I meant to email you earlier re: MWC but it has been a day full of logistics. I’m sorry I won’t be able to attend the press event there.
Your Freedom Pop article had solid data extremely valuable to those of us trying to understand the field. A pleasure to read good journalism and a disappointment Forbes is losing a good reporter.
Thank you, Dave. I enjoyed working on that article. Such an intriguing business model. It will be interesting to see if FreedomPop achieves its goals.
Hi,
I’ve met you at Forbes when my first visiting that site, when you posted the interesting article applying “Moore’s law” to Mobile OS. So you were impressed me deeply… I hope your ‘happy activity’ in the future! @kei200975
Thanks Keisuke. I’ve enjoyed your comments since that story. Nice to hear from you here.
Elizabeth, it has been a very informative and educative experience reading your articles. For me Forbes and Elizabth Woyke had become synonymous. I have told you earlier and would like to tell you again that you have been instrumental in giving me a perspective on wireless communication industry.
Count on me to become one of the followers at your blog and twitter.
I wish you all the best in your future endeavours.
Thank you, Vinod! That’s great to hear.
Well I guess I don’t have any more reason to read Forbes. There will always be a space for people who are fair in their writing. Good luck, and we’ll be reading!
Thanks, John, for the good luck wishes.
Hi Elizabeth, just wanted to say good luck with your next venture! We really enjoyed working with you. -Pam
Thanks Pam! I enjoyed working with everyone at WePay, too. I’m glad we got that story out beforehand.
Hi Elizabeth,
I just found out today that you are no longer at Forbes. You were a pleasure to work with and I hope we have the opportunity to re-connect again in the near future. All the best in your next venture!
~Jodi
Thanks Jodi, for the kind words!
Hi Elizabeth,
I am sorry to hear that you are no longer with Forbes. I only began reading your work a little while ago but found it very insightful and refreshing. You really gave me good information in your reply to a question I had on NFT. I will certainly check back to see where you have landed. May you find a new level of fulfillment in your next endeavor.
Ken
Thanks very much, Ken!
